Throughout life, we are challenged and tried with the things of life, the cares and responsibilities of our day to day tasks, and all too often we find ourselves drowning in the midst of it all. The purpose of the church is "For the edification of the church, for the work of the ministry." Simply put, we are here to help "you".
When you get overwhelmed, we are here to help you overcome, to help you learn how to apply the things of faith, and the teachings of the Word of GOD, so than you can move from being the victim of your circumstances and the trials that come before you, to being the master, the man with the answers, the seasoned man of faith that others go to, for help, so they too can establish in their lives what you have learned.
The work of the ministry is to "meet the needs of the people". That means when you come across others who are hurting, under attack, and failing at life, much like superman, you come out of the phone booth, your clean and pristine uniform shining, as the armor of GOD is at your full command to aid, protect, and attack the enemies they face, so that they too can learn to be a warrior, a champion, a vibrant son or daughter of GOD and a living example of a true member of The Family of GOD.
